![]() But I can't get the Steam release to feel playable at all, with default settings with the tutorial start. Poor fps with a 200+ dwarfs is understandable. I've played before with Meph tileset and mods and always had good performance, at least with a fresh world. So now I am not playing at all and wondering if I should just refund. I tested a few resolutions, and I played for a bit, but it was really frustrating that I couldn't even look around smoothly and I definitely wasn't going to be able to just deal with it and enjoy the game. As soon as I got into the game, it was obvious the game was running at about 12fps and even panning around a mostly empty space was chugging very hard. After that I selected to do the tutorial and I was thrown into a map. I chose the middle size for everything, and ran the world generation for 250 years. ![]() ![]() Just quit out of the steam release after about ~45 minutes of frustratingly and shockingly poor game performance.
